We’ve shared a lot about what being B Corp certified involves, and what it means to us, it was one of the first things we achieved as a business and a marker we use throughout everything we do.
Since joining B Corp in May 2019 we have continued to make more positive changes to our environmental practices and policies including:
- Joining the World Land Trust to further improve our FSC certified, recycled and recyclable packaging. With the help of the World Land Trust, all of our wrap packaging is now carbon balanced from tree to our doors, we’ve saved over 3,000 square metres of threatened habitats and rainforests, and balanced 4,561kg of carbon.
- Improving our waste output and recycling facilitates in our workshop. We’ve made changes to reduce waste in the production of our beeswax wraps, including creating new products that are crafted from our waste. Alongside this, we’ve installed more recycling bins and joined TerraCycle to ensure we’re recycling as much as possible.
- We’re working with The Planet Mark on further reducing our carbon footprint, both as a business and individuals too. They’ve measured our total output and have set us goals on reducing our footprint year on year. This goes hand-in-hand with our commitment with B Corp to be net zero by 2030!
